Baby Bedding
Lets just say that Potterybarn is a ripe off, I am sure everyone already knows that I am just making sure I get my point across. Last year Santa brought this craddle for Lucy for Christmas, this 70$ craddle from Potterybarn kids. Yes 70$ and it come with just a craddle no pad or sheet or pillow or anything, they want you to spend another 20$ for that. So this last year Lucy has loved this craddle and her Bitty Baby loves it as well, loves how her head bangs the wood everytime lucy throws her in it. I love the bang I hear evertime baby goes to bed, it makes me cringe. So i thought I am going to splurge and get her the badding for Christmas this year, so i bought it and pulled it out and looked at it and thought REALLY this was 20$ dollars I could make this.
So literally 45 minutes later this is what I ended up making and returned the bedding, with only a little guilt that I pretty much just copied there over priced item, in a matter of minutes.
Here you have it.

Christmas Card Holder
I love Christmas Cards if you did not know that, I love looking at every ones up one there walls and seeing the different ideas and fun family pictures of all our family and friends. My husbands pet peeve is when people only send pictures of there kids.
Anyway I always just tape mine up on our wall in our front entry way but I always have to go looking for the tape and it is kind of a pain most of the time. So I really like this idea and think it is so adorable. Go here to check out the tutorial.

Toddler Quilt
I am really excited about Lucy's toddler quilt for her bed, that she doesn't sleep in yet. She is so satisfied with her crib still so I am going to let her stay in it as long she wants.

Winter Wreath
I finally finished my winter wreath, my husband thinks it looks like a Valentines wreath because of the ribbon but i don't care. I have always loved the square, but sqaure frames are hard to come by. So I bought a foam rectangle and cut it into four and then glues the sides together to make it a square. Then i got my fleece at wal-mart for 2.97$ a yard and i bought 2 1/2 yards and i need another 1/2 yard so i can fill in the sides. But I like the way it turned out, it was time consuming but most things cut take time.

A little attempt.....
to get my house organized.
When my son started kindergarton I was overwhelmed with all the papers he was bringing home, one or more a day. Along with Homework, book orders, school announcements, and his work that I save for a week before I toss it, it was alot and I was running out of counter space for it. So i made this to help save my counters from getting hiden under the papers.

Yarn Wreath
Seriously another wreath post!!! I know you would think from the amount of wreaths I post I would have a new home made wreath on my door for everyday of the week, at least every holiday or season. Unfortunatly i have two wreaths that I hang on my door and I did not make either on of them. One I got last year at Tai Pan and the other one I got years ago at Basket Loft. But I do love this one I think the colors she choose are really pretty together and I like that it is not red or green, but still has a winter feel to it. Go here for the tuturial.

Start Thinking Christmas
I really love Thanksgiving, I love how simple it is, I love that you can just get together and eat. You don't have to buy any presents for anyone, it is a simple Holiday that we need in our world today because we could all use a little reminder of how much we have. That being said Thanksgiving decorations are not that exciting, but Christmas decorations on the other hand are so fun and exciting. I can upon this tree and LOVED the color, everything I have is red and white, but that blue is so pretty. I love that you could do what ever colors you wanted to match your home and your decor. Go here to learn more about how to make this tree.
I think this is maybe my new faovrite go to blog.

Oh my I think I may just have too...
If you know me, you know that I LOVE ruffles, I love them everywhere and would have them everywhere if my husband liked just a little bit. So I have to keep my ruffles contained to just my clothes and know Lucy's clothes. Well I am sure you can imagine my excitement when I saw this skirt, I was instantly in love. What makes it so great is that I even have everything that I would need on hand, that make me, my husband, an dour bank account happy. Go here for a quick and simple tutorial.

Baby Gift
My good friend that I live back in DC with just had baby number 3 and girl number 3. I was trying to figure out to do for her, and nothing seemed right. So I went to Target had a few cute things in my cart and decided this is girl number 3 she already has a million cute things, she needs something that is unique and maybe something for all her girls. SoI headed to my stash of fabric and decided I had enough fabric for all the girls.
This one is for baby Eliza, it was so fun to sew baby clothes, I never made anything for my daughter till she was 1. So this was fun.

Baby Shoes
Okay these shoes are to die for, I think they are absolutly adorable. You can find the tutorial here for these shoes. They remind me of the Gracious May shoes on Etsy which I always wanted to buy for my daughter, but I just couldn't spend that much on shoes for a baby. I can now make my own, I just need a baby to put them on.

I made these blocks with my sister in laws a few weeks ago and i really like the way they turned out. We got the wood cut at Home Depot for free and my sister in law had a cricut so it was so fun and easy, the hardest part was the sanding.

Summer Outfit.
So back in August my sister in law calls me and says no pressure, but I just bought this adorable fabric and was wondering if you could make another shirt and some pants for little Lizzie. I quickly told her that I could, I love to sew for someone else and knowing that they are paying for the fabric and my time it's a win win. So here is the final product, it is probably a little to much floral for me but I do love the fabric choice and it turned out cute. I wish I had a picture of it on her because it is really cute on.This is my favorite part of the whole outfit. I love that blue fabric and all the little details.
Not great pictures I know.
