Baby Bedding

Lets just say that Potterybarn is a ripe off, I am sure everyone already knows that I am just making sure I get my point across. Last year Santa brought this craddle for Lucy for Christmas, this 70$ craddle from Potterybarn kids. Yes 70$ and it come with just a craddle no pad or sheet or pillow or anything, they want you to spend another 20$ for that. So this last year Lucy has loved this craddle and her Bitty Baby loves it as well, loves how her head bangs the wood everytime lucy throws her in it. I love the bang I hear evertime baby goes to bed, it makes me cringe. So i thought I am going to splurge and get her the badding for Christmas this year, so i bought it and pulled it out and looked at it and thought REALLY this was 20$ dollars I could make this.
So literally 45 minutes later this is what I ended up making and returned the bedding, with only a little guilt that I pretty much just copied there over priced item, in a matter of minutes.

Here you have it.

She looks way more cozy!! She just has to wait a few more days till Christmas.

Christmas Card Holder

I love Christmas Cards if you did not know that, I love looking at every ones up one there walls and seeing the different ideas and fun family pictures of all our family and friends. My husbands pet peeve is when people only send pictures of there kids.
Anyway I always just tape mine up on our wall in our front entry way but I always have to go looking for the tape and it is kind of a pain most of the time. So I really like this idea and think it is so adorable. Go here to check out the tutorial.

Toddler Quilt

I am really excited about Lucy's toddler quilt for her bed, that she doesn't sleep in yet. She is so satisfied with her crib still so I am going to let her stay in it as long she wants.

I have not bound it yet, because I am band from Joann's for a while.
I used this super soft swirly minkie for the back, it is really bright but I like it.

I love this Owl from Target, and even better that it matches perfectly.

Winter Wreath

I finally finished my winter wreath, my husband thinks it looks like a Valentines wreath because of the ribbon but i don't care. I have always loved the square, but sqaure frames are hard to come by. So I bought a foam rectangle and cut it into four and then glues the sides together to make it a square. Then i got my fleece at wal-mart for 2.97$ a yard and i bought 2 1/2 yards and i need another 1/2 yard so i can fill in the sides. But I like the way it turned out, it was time consuming but most things cut take time.

A little attempt.....

to get my house organized.
When my son started kindergarton I was overwhelmed with all the papers he was bringing home, one or more a day. Along with Homework, book orders, school announcements, and his work that I save for a week before I toss it, it was alot and I was running out of counter space for it. So i made this to help save my counters from getting hiden under the papers.
I used the tutorial from Noodlehead, except I made three pockets instead of two.
I love the colors and it is great for organizing our papers for now.
