On the Road Crafts.....

Middle of August I went to Missiouri with my Parents and 2 of my sisters to stay at my parents cabin and to see the church sites. We all drove out there with no husbands and with all our kids in our cars, we had 12 kids total. The rule was that we had to have the kids in bed at 8:30 so that we could have some adult time. It was fabulous we watched the new Emma which i do love and North and South which is another favorite of mine. We also did some crafing. I made Lucy these 2 hats for fun, yes she does not need them but oh well she is just going to have to wear a hat everyday this winter. I do love both these color combo's

As if my daughter needs another hair clip, but they are fun to make and it is so fun to be creative and to do something new and a little unique. And they can make great baby gifts.

I love this one with the zipper, it is just diffrent.

Plain and Simple, with a vintage look.

I saw headband like this at target, tried it on and was putting in my shopping until I saw the price tag! 10$... so needless to say it when back onthe display rack and I went to walmart and got some zipper and wala. I already had the headband and the zipper only cost 2$ and I only used half of the zipper so I can make another one. I was quite pleased with my self.

A work in Progress

So I made my first Hat that actually fit my Son. It is still a work in progress and I am learning, but it is good practice and it turned out pretty cute. I want to make a navy one with either green or cream strips, but I have not been able to find a good navy yet. My Husband thinks I am crazy and that crocheted hats are not for Boys.

Obsessed

So the other my husband I are laying in bed watching the Bachelor and I was crocheting and my husband says to me, "you know your obsessed right" and I say "yes I know" he says "well I guess it's okay if you at least know your obsessed". So I just really learned how to crochet last Saturday and learned how to make this cute flower, they are so easy I can now whip one up in 10 minutes and how cute will they be in my daughters hair or on a hat or on a cute dress and they make an adorable little gift. They make me SO happy. I want to attempt a hat next but well see, crochet patterns or in some foreign language to me. I am still learning, but will let you know how it turns out, if it turns out. I have not even been crocheting for a week and I already have a basket full of yarn (there was a sell at Micheal's though so it only made sense to get it, right).
Pure Happiness.
